Taconic State Park is located along the Taconic Mountain Range and offers excellent opportunities for outdoor recreation including hiking, fishing, wildlife viewing, and camping. The state park is divided into two developed areas; Rudd Pond Area and Copake Falls Area. The campground near Rudd Pond offers almost 40 tent sites that are each equipped with a fire pit, picnic table, and tent platform at some sites. The other campground amenities include a comfort station with flush toilets and showers, a dump station, and playground. The cost per site is $18 per night. Reservations can be made online up until the day before arrival. Some sites may be available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
